In order to make conquest of Granada in 1492, the final Emirate of former fabulous Al-Andalus, easier, and prevent general uprising of Muslims, simply “divide and conquer”, the Christian conquerors cleverly corrupted the Muslims with quite generous terms of surrender, but of course, these were later breached and nullified. But in that moment, Christians could really promise anything, because later, the treaty was a mere worthless piece of paper, it was their land, their rules… and what happened then, were the most shameful years in the history of Islam.
