“This famous family always had a military career in her coat of arms… what we allegedly lack in intelligence, we compensate with confidence – with desirable results for the highest state interests!”
After the Grandpa’s military file was declassified in 2013, the surprising truth was revealed: in one transient moment in April 1918, he had the whole future of the Czech Republic in his own hands, when he was tasked – as an adjutant of Military Counterintelligence command and secret diplomatic courier – to carry a small, but most valuable packet through the front lines: the manuscript of T.G. Masaryk’s critical book “The New Europe”… (Note: in March 2015 and 2016, my Grandpa was suggested for highest Czech state military decoration, “The Order of the White Lion”. His tale is described in Rise and Fall of a Secret Courier)
But the tales continue even today. So hear also about the unique way his foolish grandson had been involuntarily involved in the contemporary military service: in the Special Unit C102: PSYOPS, a highly classified paramilitary Special Forces unit of the Czech Army, determined in promoting of the higher interests, by his distinctive, somewhat questionable, but innovative way.
